Simon Channon Junior Coaching

Simon Channon lost his life in a tragic accident late in 2007. Simon was a passionate and comitted member of Chawton cricket club and at the time of his passing he was the Captain of the Sunday team, one of the most popular and well liked that the team has ever had.

To comemorate his passing and to honour the good work he did in bringing more youngsters into the game his wife Zoe created the Simon Channon cricket academy.

The aim of the cricket academy is to introduce 4 to 8 year olds to the sport with fun coaching sessions.

Usually run on Wednesday evenings through the summer at the Chawton cricket ground, this has proved to be a very popular activity.

Chawton Cricket Club employs professional coaches who are used to working with the 4 to 8 year old age group as well as trained and suitably qualified supporting staff.

As the summer approaches more information will come available, please check the website for more information.
